Laboratory

Laboratories play a major role in areas of patient care and research of diseases. V G Saraf Memorial hospital provides excellent lab facilities for our patients at very reasonable prices. Our laboratories have kept up to date with the latest in clinical laboratory testing. With a friendly, knowledgeable staff, we strive to accommodate the needs and expectations of our patients and physicians. Some of the tests conducted in our laboratory are reflected in the medical schemes section.

Rooms

At present the hospital has:

	100 beds commissioned which will be very soon increased to 150 beds. The hospital building complies with the local municipal by-laws. Our in-patient rooms are spacious and well ventilated, so the patient feels relaxed and comfortable when admitted.
	The general ward is also very clean with optimum number of beds and toilets and satisfies floor space of 100 sq.ft. per bed with isolation arrangements available for septic and infectious cases. A nurse's duty room is available with facilities for the nurses to carry on her duties efficiently.

Operation Theatres

The hospital has:

	Four major Operation Theatres
	Two minor operation theatres
	One Labour room complex with stage 1 & stage 2 sections as well as observation ward which are all well equipped and with modern facilities.

Canteen

The hospital has an attached canteen which functions throughout the day. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals are served at the canteen. For hygienic reasons the canteen is located in a block separate from the main building.


Pharmacy

A 24 hour pharmacy is located on the ground floor. The hospital provides for the return of any un-used medicine along with the respective pharmacy cash memo for refund at the time of discharge.

Housekeeping

The housekeeping department takes care of the cleanliness of the hospital. Waste disposal is done in-house with the help of an incinerator and care is taken that the hospital's waste handling policies are environment friendly to the maximum extent possible.

Others

IIn case of a power failure, a standby generator is provided for meeting any emergency requirement.Also the hospital has a spacious parking facility to accomodate visitors' vehicles with ease even in peak hours.
